Client :: City of Duncanville
Challenge:: The City of Duncanville is located in Southwest Dallas County. The city’s Economic
Development Corporation was looking for ways to break down the negative perception of cities
in south Dallas and to position Duncanville as a compelling place to live, work and play.
Solution :: In 2002, the Economic Development Corporation selected OnMessage as their
marketing firm. We developed an integrated marketing campaign that has positioned the city as
“The Perfect Blend of Family, Community and Business.” This campaign theme has been
promoted through print advertising, direct mail, public relations, tradeshows/events and an
entirely new economic development recruitment kit.
Results :: In 2004, Duncanville’s marketing campaign was recognized as the best in the entire
State of Texas by The Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO). This
campaign defeated campaigns developed by Frisco, DeSoto and Cedar Hill—three of the
fastest growing cities in the Metroplex. Today, OnMessage is still the marketing agency of
record for the Duncanville Economic Development Corporation.
